Vijay's Nanban has got rave reviews since it's release and has broken record collections. A remake of Bollywood blockbuster '3 idiots', the film has been appreciated by the critics too.
But it seems the film has got a legal trouble now. Few words in the film like Aandi, Pandaram mentioned the film has hurt the sentiments of the backward class communities particulary Scheduled castes. Also words like pari puri kakush kari are being critised.
The community leaders say that they will protest and continue fasting in front of theaters.
The Backward Classes Association had sent a notice to the Producers' Council Chairman SA Chandrasekar, director Shankar and the Censor Board seeking deletion of the words Aandi and Pandaram.
